New Preschool Director
Farah Cash, one of our former Joyfull Hearts Preschool(JHP) preschool teachers, is now our Joyful Hearts
Preschool Director. We welcome her in her new role!
Asylum Seekers Mission
If you’d like to volunteer your time or talents to support our Asylum Seekers
mission to help neighbors seeking asylum and sheltering overnight at our church?
Currently, there is a weekly Wednesday morning Zoom gathering for discussion of
needs, issues and celebrations.
For now, donations of a certain number of air mattresses and sheets (queen and
twin) and pillowcases would be greatly appreciated. See the June Epistle for a
link to an Amazon wish list.
Donated items may be gently used and clean, purchased from another store or
purchased at Amazon and shipped directly to the church. Whichever option used,
please mark that the item has been purchased on the Amazon wish list, so we
don’t get more donations than we can use. Donations can also be left in the
donation container in Benedict Hall MPR/gym.
Financial donations on church website GIVE page or via check (Asylum Seekers on
memo line) are also welcome.
Help support the Youth Group with Hygiene kit supplies
Help support the FCUMC youth group’s hygiene kit service project. Kits will benefit
the asylees that we’re supporting and also Mary’s Place.
Leave donations in the green “monster” container in the narthex by the end of
June.

Clear toiletry bags (2.75” x 4.13” x 5.9”)
Travel-sized toiletries –
Bar soap, Hand sanitizer,

its roots in the Stonewall Riots of June 1969.
As Reconciling United Methodists, we celebrate advances made at our recent
General Conference.thex!
