Youth Ministries

We provide the essential environment in which youth can experience Christian growth, the wholeness of Christian living, and the healing power of God’s love. The youth ministry at Fairwood Community UMC combines Fellowship, Mission, Worship, Study and Outreach into a fun-filled experience for junior and senior high youth (grades 6-12).

A Balanced Ministry

Breakfast Club — Sunday morning study about the Bible, the Bible story and our faith. @10:30a.m. Come join us for food and learning about our faith.
Youth Group — Sunday night fellowship from 6:30 to 8:15p.m. – games, faith discussions & song.
Youth Vocal Band — Youth choir and some instrumentalists. Sunday evening @5:30p.m.
Confirmation Class — Conducted every other year in the spring, this class guides youth in exploring the Christian faith and the United Methodist way of practicing it, possibly leading to youth publicly claiming the Christian faith for themselves. Confirmation classes are over for the 2017 year.
Mission Work Camp — Fairwood youth have a rich history of mission work in the western U.S. to places like Arizona, California, Nevada, Washington, Montana, Idaho and Missouri. A recent foreign mission trip was to Belize.
Boy Scouts — We are host to a very active troop, #455 in the Green River District of the Chief Seattle Council.  If you are interested in joining or need more information, please visit the troop website here.
