Help the people of Maui
In response to the devastating fires which have ripped through Hawai`i recently, a special giving link has been set up at the California-Pacific United Methodist Conference center. 100% of all you give will go towards helping the people of Hawai`i.
We are committed to supporting the community of Lahaina as they navigate the challenges before them. All of the money collected will go towards helping this community in their time of need.

Sunday, August 27- Children’s Creation Care
Blackberry picking and Ice Cream Sundaes.
Yummmm! We will be outside enjoying nature, exploring, doing crafts, playing nature games, and planting things. Be sure to wear “OK to get dirty” clothes, no sandals, and bring a jacket and dress for the weather! As we explore, there is a great chance you will see our friendly rabbits, ducks, blue damselflies, squirrels, and hopefully our three deer.
Our final worship leader (today!)
Our final worship leader (today!) during Pastor Ferdie’s renewal leave is Andrew Lang. Andy is an educator in the Pacific Northwest, an alumnus of Richard Rohr’s Living School for Action and Contemplation, and author ofUnmasking the Inner Critic: Lessons for Living an Unconstricted Life.
Along with writing regularly, he facilitates workshops helping people to navigate their inner lives and explore their sense of identity and spirituality.
You can find more of his writings and offerings atwww.AndrewGLang.com.
The Tuesday morning study will use Andy’s book for the next study, beginning September 19. Join us! We meet in the parlor or on Zoom (i.e. hybrid) at 9:30am. Contact Pastor Ferdie for more information.
