Youth choir starts Oct 1st 11:15-11:50 in choir room
Youth in grade 5 through high school are invited to sing in YOUTH choir. Rehearsals start on Sunday, October 1st, after Sunday School and illumin8 classes. Meet in the choir room at 11:15am until about 11:50am.
We will be learning new songs and some favorites to sing in church worship services and teach to the congregation. We will also help lead a special Christmas Eve service. Come bring your friends and make a joyful noise! For more information or questions contact Bill or Lori McEwen.
Join The Chancel Choir
We just started a new choir season. If you have sung in choirs before or have had musical training, you will have no trouble learning the anthems. Performances are twice a month and rehearsals are Wednesdays at 7:15 p.m. or after the Sunday services.

United Women in Faith is offering this beautiful Northwest sceneries quilt for raffle!
Our Fairwood United Women in Faith quilters group is offering a beautiful Northwest scenery quilt for raffle. Tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20. Proceeds will support UWF mission-giving. Buy tickets on Sundays from Debbie Miller, the UWF treasurer.
The drawing for the quilt will be held on Sunday, October 1 during the Soup lunch/Quilt/Crafts/Bake sale.
We hope you attend but you can win this quilt even if you are not present.

Mark your calendars now for a big event on Sunday, the first day of October!
Everyone is invited, including friends and neighbors. The UWF (United Women of Faith) is sponsoring a SOUP LUNCH in conjunction with the Quilt, Craft and Bake Sale. It will be held in Benedict Hall, right after the service, from 11am – 2pm. Cash and cards will be accepted.
UWF will use money raised to support organizations helping vulnerable women, children and families.
We are asking members of our congregation to donate crock pots of soup. Soup volunteers will be contacted with recipes. Bakers, please pull out those favorite pie, cookie, cake other great recipes and donate to our bake sale. There are sign-up sheets in the Narthex.

Vision House Visit
Our Fairwood United Women in Faith (UWF) is going to tour the Renton Highlands location of Vision House. Join us as we learn about the work that Vision House has been doing for over 30 years to help those experiencing homelessness in our area.
We’ll meet at our church at 10:00 on Thursday, September 14th to carpool.

Andy Lang is an educator in the Pacific Northwest, an alumnus of Richard Rohr’s Living School for Action and Contemplation, and author of Unmasking the Inner Critic: Lessons for Living an Unconstricted Life.
Andrew was our guest preacher on August 27
The Tuesday morning study will use Andy Lang’s book for the next study, beginning September 19.

In response to the devastating fires which have ripped through Hawai`i recently, a special giving link has been set up at the California-Pacific United Methodist Conference center. 100% of all you give will go towards helping the people of Hawai`i.
We are committed to supporting the community of Lahaina as they navigate the challenges before them. All of the money collected will go towards helping this community in their time of need.
