Because youth choir is singing during worship today (November 12), there will be NO youth choir rehearsal after worship. Join us next Sunday at 11:15.

We plan to decorate the church for Advent on Saturday, Dec. 2nd, starting at 9:00am. (NOTE: This is NOT Thanksgiving weekend since Advent starts later this year.) If we have enough volunteers, we will hang greenery along the side walls, hang our wreaths and put up our Chrismon tree. There will be ladders, but no moving and stacking of chairs or the high scaffolding up to the ceiling. We’ll also put up our Giving Tree in the narthex.

November is pledge drive month at Fairwood Community UMC. Letters and pledge cards were mailed the last week of October. We ask that you prayerfully consider the amount you wish to give to your church for 2024. We expect that a similar amount to 2023 will be needed to support our mission work; therefore, our goal is $380,000.
Extra copies of the pledge cards are available in the narthex (as you enter the sanctuary).

You are invited to join in a Transgender Day of Remembrance service to honor the memory of the transgender people whose lives were lost too soon, in acts of anti-transgender violence.
The service will be held at United Christian Church of Renton,
on Monday, November 20th, at 6:30pm.
Address: 15509 116th Ave. SE, Renton, WA (in Cascade neighborhood).

Our local United Women in Faith (UWF) is offering a 2nd chance quilt sale (no baked goods or soup) after worship on Sunday, November 12. Quilts will be on display in Benedict Hall during fellowship time.

All proceeds will benefit the UWF ministries for women, children and families. Come find a nice gift for someone (or yourself)!

The youth are fundraising for a future youth mission trip!

Wreaths will be available for pick-up at the church November 12th and 19th. There will be extras available for sale, while supplies last. If you have any questions or need help with your order, please email Sabrina at youthandchildren@fairwoodumc.org.
