Next day to dedicate new members is January 14th
We are so grateful to recently receive our new members. If you are considering
membership, the next date we’ll receive new members is January 14th.
If you are curious or if you have questions about membership, please contact
Pastor Ferdie at pastorferdie@fairwoodumc.org.
A decision for membership is always a great time to celebrate our life together as a
church family!
Do you have extra 2024 calendars? Please donate!
Extra 2024 Calendars???? Please consider donating them!
Look for the 2024 Calendar Box in the narthex/entryway. We will be delivering them to the Renton Salvation Army Food Bank or other area in need. Questions? contact Sharon K.
November is Pledge Drive Month
November is pledge drive month at Fairwood Community UMC. Letters and pledge cards were mailed the last week of October. We ask that you prayerfully consider the amount you wish to give to your church for 2024. A similar amount to 2023 will be needed to support our mission work; therefore, our goal is $380,000.
12/10/23 update
72 responses and $296,632 pledged to our 2024 budget
Extra copies of the pledge cards are available in the narthex (as you enter the sanctuary).

Sign up for 2024 alter flowers

United Women in Faith - 12/15/23 2:00 PM
Our local United Women in Faith group invites you to gather for Christmas tea at a new day and time. We gather on FRIDAY, December 15 at 2:00 pm. We’ll share tea and a dessert buffet, sing a few carols and enjoy good fellowship.
We suggest you bring …
ØA teacup and a story about it (or a story about a holiday tradition). If you don’t have a teacup, we’ll have some.
ØA dessert or treat to share.
ØDonations of gift cards to support the Communities in Schools programs for Kent and Greater King County. They ask for cards for Safeway, Fred Meyer, Target or Walmart.
Please share our Advent Flyers with Friends and Neighbors!
We have Advent flyers to share with your neighbors, friends and relatives. Copies
are on the table in the narthex (the gathering area outside the sanctuary). Some
were also mailed to homes recently.
The four Sundays of Advent (Dec. 3, Dec. 10, Dec. 17 and Dec. 24), we have
10:00am worship services and programs/classes for our children and youth.
Our Christmas eve services will be at 4:00pm and 7:00pm, both livestreamed on
our public Facebook page and on our online worship page of our website
(www.fairwoodumc.org).
Giving Tree Donations
We are collecting unwrapped gifts and gift cards to be distributed to struggling families in our area.
All donations should be placed under the tree by Sunday Dec 17th.
Your donations will be distributed to families by the Renton Salvation Army and the Atlantic Street Center.
New this year is a request from Way Back Inn for gift cards for 4 families they are hosting. There are special gift tags hanging on the tree to support Way Back Inn.
