Fairwood United Methodist Church may be able to offer financial assistance through our Community Assistance Program (CAP).  

Please read our policies carefully.  if you qualify, please fill out the application form at the bottom of the page in the downloads section.

Policies: Updated 7/26

    • We accept a maximum of 12 applications per month starting the first day of the month
    • You must provide a complete application form and a copy of your picture ID or driver's license.  If requesting assistance over $100, you must also provide a copy of your bill.
    • You must have a mailing address in Renton or Kent
    • You cannot owe more than $4,000 
    • You can only receive help once every year
    • You are not permitted to solicit directly from church members
    • Payments are issued to designated landlords, utility providers, clinics, etc., NOT the applicant
    • The CAP team may request an in-person meeting with you
    • We may be able to offer gift cards or small payments toward transportation, gas, food, work-related clothing, etc.
    • For larger bills, our maximum gift is $400.00

Small-scale assistance: transportation, gas, meals, work-related gear (e.g. work shoes or uniform)

Emergency assistance:  utility assistance, rental help, medical bills, or other emergency cases where an applicant owes less than $4,000.
