More than 640 structures were decimated as the Old Trails Fire – one of three burning near Spokane – crept into the city limits of Spokane. More than 60,000 people have been evacuated in areas of Spokane, and more than 14,000 structures have been threatened, according to local and state officials.  A few of our UMC pastors have had to evacuate their homes, and an undetermined number of local parishioners have evacuated, with at least one reportedly losing their home. 

Individuals wanting to donate to the wildfire relief effort can give to the PNW Disaster Relief Fund, which helps out disaster response coordinators in times like these.
