We have a new 2025 Flower Calendar posted in the narthex, on the bulletin board
next to the office door. Sign up for dates to bring flowers for our altar. You can
celebrate a special occasion or bring flowers in memory or honor of someone.

Please make sure we have your current contact information. It helps to keep you
informed of events and information. It would also help if we know how you prefer
to be contacted. Email? Text? Home phone call? Other?  Please email office@fairwoodumc.org with the updates

The Women’s Book Club meets next on Thursday, January 23 at 7:00pm to discuss
“Project Hail Mary” by Andy Weir. Join us in-person (Benedict Hall, classroom 2) or
online via Zoom. Contact Donna S. for the Zoom link.
Book Club usually meets on the 4th Thursdays of the month.
In February, we discuss “The Day the World Came to Town: 9/11 in Gander
Newfoundland” by Jim DeFede.
See the January Epistle newsletter for the list of all the books we’ll discuss through
September.

Save any Styrofoam to be recycled! Look for the Styrofoam collection box in the
narthex. It will be delivered in January.

Church Council is to envision, plan, implement, and evaluate our congregation’s
ministry and mission. Church Council meetings are open to all.
Church Council meets on the 3rd Thursdays of the month, starting at 6:30pm. If an
agenda item interests you, please join us either online or in Benedict Hall classroom
2 (BH-2).

Youth choir practices start again on Sunday, January 12th, at the usual time of
11:15 – 11:50 in the choir room. All youth 5th grade through high school are invited
to join us.
