Bring your extra calendars and pocket calendars for Salvation Army Families and
others in need. Please put in the food cart by the nursery.

Fall Back - Changes your Clocks for next Sunday

Don’t forget that we change clocks back 1 hour next weekend, Sunday, November
1, at 2:00am (or Saturday night for some of us).

Rite of Renaming

We honor new beginnings and new chosen names through the grace of God.
If you’d like a Rite of Renaming ritual, please let Pastor Ferdie or Pastor Cathy
know. The liturgy may be conducted in a worship service or in private, and
there is no fee.

Mid-year Financial Giving statements were emailed on October 18th.

All Church Charge Conference Nov 8th
Sunday, November 8 is the date for our annual All-Church Conference. This is our annual
business meeting and our entire church family is invited. The presiding elder will be Rev.
Ric Shewell. Pastor Ferdie and Pastor Cathy will be with us, though. The conference
doesn’t start until 12:30 in the sanctuary, so join us before that (11:30) for a salad potluck
in the gym/MPR. Any member of the church may vote on official business, but everyone is
invited and encouraged to attend.
What will we do?
• Elect our 2027 church leaders
• Approve our pastors’ salaries and do other business such as review our membership
report
• Review and evaluate the ministries of FCUMC
• And more…

 

 

October Pet Food Drive
Donations of pet food will go to the Renton Salvation Army Food Bank and Kent
Animal Shelter (RASKC).
This Sunday, October 25th is the last Sunday for pet food donations. Pet food can
still be dropped off through Saturday, October 31st in the collection box outside by
the red double-doors.
Donations can help someone on a limited income keep their beloved pet and can
help the shelter provide food and other items.
