Helpers needed for decorating the Sanctuary/ entryway
It’s almost that time of year! The first Sunday of Advent is November 30th. So we’ll
be decorating the sanctuary and entryway/narthex for the upcoming Advent and
Christmas season on Saturday, November 29th, starting at 9:30am. All are welcome!
Come hang Chrismons (“Christ monogram” ornaments) on our beautiful sanctuary
tree, set up the Advent wreath, set up the Giving Tree in the narthex or help put up
garland and other seasonal decorations.
Help will also be needed for FRIDAY, January 9th, also at 9:30am, to take things
down and put them away.

Charge Conference November 23rd
Sunday, November 23 is the date for our annual All-Church Conference. This is our annual
business meeting and our entire church family is invited. The presiding elder will be Rev.
Leslie Ann Knight instead of one of our superintendents. Pastor Ferdie and Pastor Cathy
will be with us, though. The conference starts after worship, about 11:30am. While only
members of Fairwood Community UMC may vote on official business, everyone is invited
and encouraged to attend.
What will we do?
• Elect our 2026 church leaders
• Approve our pastors’ salaries and do other business such as review our membership
report
• Review and evaluate the ministries of FCUMC
• And more…
Questions? Contact Cathy Russell, our Church Council chairperson, or one of our pastors.
Youth Choir Practice
The Youth Choir will be practicing this morning after church (11:15-11:50) in the
choir room as we work on a song to sing with the adult choir on Nov. 23rd, and also
work on songs for the 4:00 pm Christmas Eve Service. All 5th – 12th grade youth
are invited to join us.
