Come hear about Allayna Farmer's recent work in the West Bank!
Allayna Farmer, one of our former youth who went on several FCUMC youth
mission trips, travelled with others to the West Bank in November. Their goal
was to create a bridge between Americans and Palestinians, in the hopes that
American advocates can assist in generating aid and compassion in the United
States.
She began her Master of Social Work at La Salle University in Philadelphia this
past January. Allayna expresses gratitude to Fairwood for igniting the light of
service work on a global scale.
Allayna will not be able to be here in Fairwood, so she’ll present what she
learned over Zoom. Join us after worship on Sunday, January 4th.
We’ll meet about 11:30am in a hybrid gathering (in-person or on Zoom) to
hear from Allayna.
If you come in person, meet in Benedict Hall, classroom 2 (on the left as you
go down the hallway past the drinking fountain. If you want the Zoom link,
contact Donna Stock.

Christmas Eve Services Request
On Christmas Eve, if you are able, please park in the back to leave more parking
spaces for our visitors.
Also if it is possible, please sit near the front of the church to leave room for our visitors and latecomers. Thank you!
Christmas Eve Offering
This year’s Christmas Eve Offering will be supporting our Community Assistance
Program (CAP). They help in preventing our neighbors to be evicted, stop their
water/heater shut-off and other immediate needs to help them get through their
hard times.
Thank you so much for your generous support.
Help Those Affected By Recent Flooding
To provide financial support for those affected by recent heavy rains and flooding
across our area, you can donate through a couple United Methodist channels. Our
PNW Conference is already working to assist people. Four volunteers from Fairwood
Community UMC (Don M, Bill B-H, Joe M and Mark W) were already part of an
“Early Response Team.” In addition to our PNW Conference, you can support our
UMC denomination-wide relief work done by United Methodist Committee on
Relief.
Support the Pacific Northwest Conference Disaster Response Fund
(Advance #352) or UMCOR US Disaster Response (Advance #901670). Gifts to these two funds help provide immediate assistance to evacuees and
survivors, as well as prepare for continued response as conditions allow. Give
online through our church website’s GIVE page ( fairwoodumc.org/give ) or place
checks/cash in the offering plate, designated for either fund.
